Even though I’ve been trying to back away from it, I still end up DJ’ing a ton of wedding dances every year. So this list of the Songs Most Banned From Weddings really caught my eye. What gets me is that almost all of these songs on the list are really popular. Like the Chicken Dance! It’s at the top of the list of Most Banned tunes, but I’m asked to play it all the time. I tell people that it’s a state law that you have to play the Chicken Dance at weddings in Wisconsin. So here’s the list of tunes and the percentage of people that ban them from their dances. And tell me what you think: Would you ban these tunes from your wedding dance?
