The CDC Uses A Lemon Poppyseed Muffin To Make A Point!

A big “way to go” to the Center For Disease Control and Prevention! The C.D.C. decided late last week to remind everyone the it’s tick and Lyme disease season, so they tweeted a picture of a poppy-seed muffin with five bloodsucking ticks hiding among the poppy-seeds. It was meant to be educational, to warn people that tick-borne illnesses like Lyme are actually on the rise. But the question “Can you spot all 5 ticks in this photo?” ended up terrifying Twitter users who couldn’t stand the thought of their favorite pastry covered in ticks! After enduring three days of outrage, the CDC seemed to finally regret causing so much trauma, and it has apologized in a follow-up tweet. This story really “bugs” us!
