Did you have hot dogs for your 4th of July cookout? If so, it probably wasn’t as many as Joey Chestnut! Chestnut consumed 64 hot dogs in 10 minutes Wednesday, as he again reigned supreme at Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island in New York, winning for the 11th time. Twenty-one men in all participated in the competition.
Meanwhile, over on the women’s side, for the fifth year in a row Las Vegas super eater Miki Sudo took top prize at the contest, downing 37 franks and buns in 10 minutes, finishing far ahead of second-place finisher Mischelle Lesco of Tuscon, Arizona, who chowed down 28 wieners and buns.
