So the La Crosse City Council is apparently thinking about lowering the speed limit on Losey Boulevard to 25 mph in order to make it safer and more neighborhood-friendly. 7th District Council member Gary Padesky says it’s a way to slow down traffic and reduce the shaking and damage from big trucks. “People forget that it’s a neighborhood,” he said. “It’s a matter of people just respecting their neighbors.” Anywhere from 13 to 27,000 vehicles use Losey each day, and most travel between 28 and 38 mph. So what do you think? Should the speed limit be lowered to 25 mph on Losey. Do you feel it needs to be safer?
