The inspiration for this recipe came from the fact that Jolivette Family Farm carries wonderful seafood that includes Alligator.
Start with 1 pound of alligator meat, cut into chunks, salt and pepper. Flour, for dredging. One cup buttermilk, 1 cup hot sauce and 1 bottle of ranch dressing for dipping.
Heat a deep-fryer to 350 degrees F.
Lightly season gator meat with salt and pepper before you dredge in flour. Combine buttermilk and hot sauce into mixture. Dip meat into buttermilk mixture and dip again into flour. Then place in deep fryer until golden brown, just a couple of minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve with ranch dressing. Enjoy!!!
