People in southwestern Tennessee can stop worrying about a tube in the sky that seemed to go on for miles. It wasn’t a UFO, as some speculated. The National Weather Service says the scary-looking, cylindrical mass that people around Adamsville, TN saw earlier this month was a “roll cloud.” The weather experts say roll clouds are rare low, horizontal tube-shaped clouds associated with a thunderstorm front or a cold front. They appear to roll around a horizontal axis but they aren’t funnel clouds. At least one person got a picture of the cloud that had some people wondering if it was a UFO.
