A giant floating unicorn with rainbow-colored wings was not able to fly free of the weeds Saturday, leaving four women stranded offshore in a Chisago County lake in Minnesota. Fortunately, the Chisago County sheriff’s office had a squad car in the area, and the deputies spotted the horn and the dilemma. Sheriff’s Department tweeted a video of the not particularly dramatic rescue Saturday night. Deputy Scotty Finnegan tossed a rope and the women, barely able to contain their laughter as he pulls them to a dock.
Driving by a local lake we observed a bunch of women in a 🌈🦄 stuck in the weeds...Yes a rainbow unicorn... With a handful of laughs and some mad rescue roping skills they were pulled back to the dock! #wherestheglitter pic.twitter.com/qCyhfJqAa9— Chisago Co Sheriff (@ChisagoCountySO) August 11, 2018
One Pittsburgh Steelers fan tried to get up close and personal to the action this weekend and actually succeeded to an extent. The fan dressed up in shoulder pads, a helmet and a Steelers jersey and somehow made it past security at Steelers practice and attempted to participate in some drills. He might have gotten away with it longer had he not chosen jersey number 43, which had not been assigned by the Steelers since Troy Polamalu retired after the 2014 season. Oh yeah, and he was wearing pads under the jersey and the actual Steelers weren’t wearing them for practice Saturday. The unidentified fan was eventually seen being escorted off the practice field and into the waiting arms of the police.
And apparently, Keith Urban will do anything to get the right sound. Keith is currently on his Graffiti U World Tour, but that doesn’t stop the country crooner from still working on new music in the most unusual places. On Saturday, Keith’s wife Nicole Kidman shared a silly snap of her husband wearing gray shorts and a black t-shirt while sitting on a chair in the hotel bathroom and intensely playing the electric banjo. “Whatever it takes to get the right sound when you’re recording,” Nicole captioned in the Instagram shot. And no, the chair he was sitting on in the bathroom was not the chair.
