Is Hurricane Florence Creating A Real “Sharknado,” Say Bye Bye To The “Beetle,” And Sadness For Alan Jackson And His Family

A viral photo making waves claims Hurricane Florence is lifting sharks out of the ocean making for a real-life Sharknado. It’s not true, of course, but the photo imitates a television breaking news graphic, similar to CNN; however, the photo was created on a site called, “BreakYourOwnNews.com,” which does exactly what it sounds like. And apparently it got a lot of people worried the Jaws was falling out of the sky! Source: wcnc.com

It’s the end of a very long era: Volkswagen says it will stop making its iconic Beetle in July of next year, the AP reports. Volkswagen of America on Thursday announced the end of production of the third-generation Beetle by introducing two final special editions. Volkswagen of America didn’t rule out bringing the bug back in the future but says it has no plans at this time. And there’s sadnees for the Alan Jackson family: Samuel Benton “Ben” Selecman, Alan Jackson’s son-in-law, died on Wednesday after suffering severe head injuries due to a fall. He was 28 years old. Selecman, who was assistant district attorney for Davidson County in Tennessee married Jackson’s oldest daughter, Mattie, earlier this summer. Source: billboard.com
