Now this is yummy! A new study from the University of Wisconsin finds crickets may be more beneficial for your gut and overall health than traditional protein sources. According to dietitian Erin Gussler, the rest of the worls is already on board. She says, “In Asia they eat bugs. In South Africa they eat bugs, and in South America they eat bugs.” Well, good for them! It turns out the bugs have benefits. One of the interesting things is that crickets are one of our only animal protein sources that contains fiber, and they’re high in iron, calcium and really high in B-12. Source:

This time of year, it’s all about Pumpkin Spice Lattes, or PSL’s. But how healthy is a PSL? It can’t be that bad, after all pumpkins are a fruit so they must be healthy-ish, right? Consumer Affairs decided to find out exactly how much exercise it would take to burn off a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte and here’s what they came up with: If you opt for the standard Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte with whole milk and whipped cream, you’re looking at 510 calories, 21 grams of fat and 66 carbs. To burn all of that off, you’ll have to: Do 54 minutes of burpees, jog for 4.5 miles, walk 102 flights of stairs or 1224 individual stairs And just for fun, apparently men would need to “get busy” 5.1 times and women would have to “get busy” 7.4 times.
